JUST TO SAY THANK YOU!

 Penny and I

Penny and I - Safran Restaurant, Dalyan

No words or actions will ever be enough to show my gratitude or give thanks for all the love and support Penny gave to me, and Rebecca, during Rebecca’s short life and during my pregnancy – Penny’s husband John too, who Rebecca adored (he was also with me when Rebecca passed away), and their sons Paul and Stuart. Penny was with me through thick and thin, often travelling up north (a 4 hour journey at best) to spend the weekend with Rebecca and I.

When Rebecca was 10 weeks old, I left Alder Hey Childrens Hospital with Rebecca, alone and frightened having the responsibility of a young baby 9 days after major heart surgery and needing to do some shopping as we'd been in hospital for two weeks - my parents had popped in that day but waved us goodbye as they continued with their holiday in Southport!  Penny drove straight from work that night.  She was a Godsend, she would even do piles and piles of ironing that I usually stuffed in the cupboard under the stairs (Rebecca had masses of clothes because so many people very generously passed on clothes from their daughters), or we simply enjoyed weekends, or days away together, particularly the Lake District a favourite place of ours to visit.

How lucky was I to have Penny in my life?  She certainly made my life, as a single parent, possibly made more difficult with Rebecca having Down's Syndrome, easier to cope with.  THANK YOU PENNY!

WHO WOULD YOU BE WITHOUT YOUR STORY?

We are always going to have problems
it’s the nature of the human experience.
It’s what you do about them however,
that is up to you -

WELL HERE’S A SMALL SECTION OF MY STORY:

This THANK YOU page, created for Penny, developed into something much lengthier than I anticipated and I digressed from the original concept ie of simply saying Thank You, to another section of My Story - a family secret I discovered in my 20's connecting Penny and I.  However, it’s perhaps an interesting story to tell as it could help some people who have discovered their own family secrets or should I say skeletons in the cupboard!  Maybe it could help people to heal, or understand that they might become someone different, lead a different life, if they didn’t have their story ….. read on and see what you think but take note:

YOU CAN change aspects of your story, challenge whether your story is true or not.  If there are any negative emotions attached to your story, if you change your perception of what the reality was, in your mind, then you have the ability to remove a whole lot of emotional baggage that you carry around every day of your life!  Why would your burden yourself with all that weight, or give your energy to something that isn't true?  Reclaim your energy, reclaim your power and possibly lose weight too!  What is is, and if you struggle to believe that then apparently you must be insane!

WHO WOULD I BE WITHOUT MY STORY?
